Regular consultations

Checkups, vaccinations, and any health concern, by appointment Monday through Saturday. Cats have their own consultation area, where they can walk around freely and feel calmer during the visit.

Parvo consultations

Parvovirus is a serious, highly contagious disease, especially in puppies. If your dog is vomiting, has diarrhea, or seems unusually tired, contact us right away.

A parvo consultation starts with a full exam and a rapid test, along with blood work to check hydration, infection, and organ function. Treatment can include IV fluids, electrolytes, anti nausea medication, and nutritional support. Patients who need intensive care stay with us in a dedicated isolation area with strict hygiene protocols, so other animals stay protected. Afterward we follow up with instructions for home care and prevention.

Cardiology

Heart examinations with Dr. Jorge Banda, a cardiology specialist from Peru. This includes echocardiography, also called a heart ultrasound, ECG, Doppler ultrasound, blood pressure measurement, and Holter monitoring, which records the heart over 24 to 48 hours.

Acupuncture with Drs. Booi

Drs. Natalie Booi offers veterinary acupuncture for dogs, cats, and horses, as part of an individual treatment plan for pain management, mobility problems, neurological conditions, and recovery. Learn more about acupuncture

Onsite laboratory

Our lab handles blood chemistry and blood counts, urine and fecal analysis, microscopy, and cytology, so results come back fast. Biopsies go to an external lab, and specialized immune tests are sent abroad.

Digital pathology with Imagyst

Samples can be analyzed digitally and reviewed remotely by veterinary specialists through Imagyst. That means expert input on difficult cases without waiting for a specialist to travel to the island, so we can decide on treatment sooner.

Ultrasound

Dra. Tromp, Dra. Castro, and Drs. Booi perform abdominal ultrasound, including pregnancy checks and multi organ scans, and thoracic ultrasound.

When a sample is needed, we can take it under ultrasound guidance with a fine needle or a biopsy, so we reach exactly the right spot. Specialist diagnostic consultations and imaging interpretation are available for complex cases.

Digital X rays

X rays help us look at bones and joints, fractures and injuries, the chest and lungs, heart size, and the organs in the abdomen. We also use them for screenings such as hip dysplasia.

Some pets are more comfortable with light sedation, which keeps them still and gives us clear images. Your veterinarian reads every X ray together with the exam and your pet’s history before deciding on the next step.

House visits

When a trip to the clinic is difficult, our veterinarians can come to you. For exams that need our full equipment, we recommend a clinic visit.

Vaccinations at home

We vaccinate your pets in their own home, anywhere on the island, with no minimum number of pets. It is a calm option for puppies and for homes with several animals.

Home visits are by appointment, and a house visit fee applies, plus transport if your pet needs to come to the clinic. Book early to get the date and time you want. In an emergency we do our best to fit you in, depending on the veterinarian’s availability.
