Veterinarian
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinarian to join Animal Care Clinic.
As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our clients’ beloved pets.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and live on a beautiful island!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals, diagnose medical conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform surgeries, including spaying/neutering, dental procedures, and other routine surgeries.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and other medical treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Assist in emergency situations, providing immediate and appropriate medical care to injured or critically ill animals.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and overall animal well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and exam rooms.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and procedures.
- Provide support to veterinary technicians and other clinic staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience is not a must.
- Must be willing to move to Aruba for a minimum of 1 year.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with pet owners and effectively communicate medical information.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with fellow veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
- Must be open for new cultures.
- Ability to multitask and handle a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassion for animals and dedication to providing the highest quality of care.
- Spanish, English or Dutch preferrably
